Christmas-Chanuka Party

Our joint club Christmas-Chanuka party was held on Thursday, December 11 at the Farmingville Firehouse in Farmingville. The room was filled to overflowing capacity despite the bad weather. There was good food, music, fun and a visit from Santa himself. Thank you to all who attended, including our Town Chairman Jesse Garcia, Vice-Chairman Henry Barton, Country Treasurer Angie Carpenter, 3rd Ward Councilwoman Kathy Walsh and the next Brookhaven Town Supervisor, Councilman Tim Mazzei.

A very special thank you to Maria Pollack for organizing this great event. You can be sure there will be more events in the future. To view pictures of the party, just click on the link below or on the title.

ZELDIN CAMPAIGN MOTORCADE

The campaign is in full swing. On Sunday, September 28, members of the Mid-Brookhaven Republican Club accompanied our Congressional candidate, Lee Zeldin on a campaign swing through shopping centers in Selden and Centereach and a stop at the St. James Street Fair. The response for Lee's campaign was extremely positive. The voters are really paying attention now.

The 3rd Ward now has our own campaign RV thanks to Lou and Barbara Provenzano. We will be out and about every weekend and as much as possible during the week. We also have areas in Selden and Centereach where volunteers can pick up palm cards, signs, buttons and other campaign material. You will be notified as to where we will be.

Also in attendance on Sunday were our President Ed Lenox and his wife Laurie, Our Recording Secretary Arlene Hoffman, Our Second Vice President Arlene Hoffman Jr. and 3 yr Director and 3rd Ward Leader John Rago. Click on the title or on the link below to view additional pictures.

Literature, buttons and bumper stickers were given out to a very enthusiastic crowd. The overwhelming majority were extremely pleased and excited about Senator McCain's choice of Sarah Palin for Vice-President. Thank you to all who helped man the table during the day, to Judge Howard Bergson, Congressional candidate Lee Zeldin and State Assembly candidate, Bruce Bennett for attending. McCain Picks Running Mate

As you know by now, Senator McCain picked his running mate for Vice-President. It is the Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin. Senator McCain shocked everyone with this pick. But make no mistake, this is an excellent choice. This choice not only is history making, but it has energized and electrified our Republican Conservative base. Not to mention that it totally deflated the bounce from the Democratic convention and Obama's speech on Thursday night.

For those who think she is not qualified (mostly Democrats), think again. Actually, she has a more impressive resume than Barack Obama. Click on the link below or on the title to learn more about the next Vice-President of the United States, Sarah Palin.
